For each Challenge, the top 50 eligible content, relevant and highest viewed submissions will be judged on the following criteria: 

  • Creativity & Originality, Innovative use of Snap Creative Tools.
  • Unique POV, and Entertainment Value. 

Typically, each Challenge will feature an average of 3 to 5 winners, although occasionally we may select more or fewer winners (must be 16+ and resident of 50 U.S./D.C., Official Rules apply).

At its launch, in November last year, Snapchat announced that it would pay out $1 million per day, to be shared among the top-performing Spotlight clips, as means to incentivize engagement, and kick-start the offering. Which worked – by the end of Q1, Spotlight had jumped to 125 million monthly active users (out of Snapchat’s 280m total actives), but by that stage, Snap had already paid out $90 million in creator payments, with more to come, and the cost-to-benefit ratio was starting to look a little out of whack.

In addition to this feature, Snapchat’s also expanding its virtual gifting option to all ‘Snap Stars’ around the world. Clubhouse New Features

Last month Clubhouse said they are working on new features for their users to access this app easily and look to improve in-app functionality and engagement, while also providing more ways for creators to maximize the value of their broadcasts. Today they announced four new features such as Clips, Replay, Universal Search, and spatial audio for Android (which already exists on iOS).

As you can see in this example, Clubhouse users will now be able to find relevant Rooms, Clubs, and upcoming events based on keyword search.

As explained by the Clubhouse blog:

“It’s crazy that you can’t search for rooms on Clubhouse… well now you can, because today we’re shipping Universal Search. This will allow you to search for people, clubs, live rooms, and future events – so you can find your friends more quickly, discover amazing clubs and events related to any breaking news or nerdy interest, and find rooms about specific things happening in the world right now.”

Clips

The clubhouse is now also officially launching its new Clips feature-beta version, which will enable users to share 30-sec audio clips from public rooms that helps to boost awareness of the rooms and makes interest in clubhouse broadcasts.

To create a clip, hosts and listeners can see a new scissor icon on the clips, when tapped, it will grab the last 30 seconds of audio of the conversation. 

“People can share Clips of your show to Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, iMessage, or WhatsApp – and even save them to their gallery for quick editing first.”

Universal Search

Along with Clips, Clubhouse also rolled out a Universal Search feature that will help the users to search for people, live rooms, clubs, and events within the app. Universal Search option is available for both Android and iOS users, and it will appear at the top of the Explore tab. Based on user feedback, Clubhouse may move the Universal Search bar to the hallway in a future update.

Replays

All of the new features, Replays could be the game-changer for the clubhouse app. It allows creators to record a room conversation, save it to their profile and within the app, or download the audio to share it externally, like on a podcast feed. Hosts and moderators can choose whether the room has to be recorded or not. Recently Twitter also said it would add recorded Spaces too. Now, Clubhouse’s Replay feature will give more competition.
