The short video-sharing app has been the most downloaded in the world on both Android and iOS devices this year globally. TikTok jumped the list by three spots and is projected by analytical firm App Annie to break into the 1 billion monthly active user club next year.

TikTok App
TikTok kept on being the most downloaded non-gaming application in the play store and app store for the 6th time in succession. ByteDance owned TikTok climbed the top position for being the most downloaded application worldwide back in May supplanting the video-conferencing application Zoom, which held the best position in April this year. Since then TikTok has stayed in the top spot as per the Sensor Tower report.
As of October 2020, TikTok was downloaded and installed around 66Million times which is a 9.5% increase when compared to October 2019. The countries with the most installs of the app during this period were from Douyin in China at 12% of its total downloads and Brazil at 10%, the Sensor Tower report said.
Where ass social media giant Facebook and WhatsApp Messenger got second and third place respectively. While the video communication and cloud meeting app Zoom came in fourth and another Facebook-owned image-sharing app Instagram in the top five. Telegram has also moved up ten positions, while Messenger fell five places in comparison to last year.
WhatsApp messenger was the second most installed non-gaming app that has 57 million more installs. While taking a country-wise report of Whatsapp installation, India was the first position at 30 percent, followed by Nigeria at 10 percent.

Tinder topped the record of this program with the majority of customer spend, followed closely by TikTok, which jumped 15 places up. YouTube, Disney+, and Tencent Video are following in the listing. By the report, Disney+ had a standout year for expansion this year, after its rollout to European and Latin American markets.
