How To Disable Instagram Account

Steps To Temporarily Disable the Instagram Account

To temporarily disable your account follow the below steps

Step 1. Log in to your Instagram account from a computer or mobile browser.

Step 2. Tap your profile picture in the top right and click Profile, then click Edit Profile.

Step 3. Now scroll down, at the bottom you will find “Temporarily disable my account”.

Step 4. Click that and select an option from the drop-down menu to choose why are you disabling your account? and re-enter your password. 

Step 5. The option to disable your account will only appear after you’ve selected a reason from the menu and entered your password.

Step 6. Click Temporarily Disable Instagram Account. 

That’s it your account is temporarily disabled and your followers won’t see your profile and your followers saw your profile as Instagrammer without any posts, followers, and following counts. 

How to Disable Instagram Account on iPhone

As previously said, you can’t delete your Instagram profile on iPhone mobile app. So the only option is you can log in through the browser and follow the steps and disabled it within ew minutes.   

How to Reactivate Instagram Account?

If your mind changes or you miss Instagram, you can re-enable your disabled Instagram at any time. To reactivate your Instagram profile follow the below steps.

• Open Instagram app or website
• Enter the required information such as Username, email address, or phone number Tap the “Log in” button to get back to your Instagram account.

How often can you deactivate Instagram? 

You can only deactivate or remove your Instagram account once a week. It does not allow users to deactivate their accounts more than once in 7 days so you can’t disable and reactivate your Instagram 2 times a week. And also you can’t disable the Instagram account before 1 week after disabled.
