WhatsApp Emoji Reactions
WhatsApp, one of the most used messaging applications in the world with 2 billion monthly active users globally and 100 billion messages are sent each day. After months of various testing, WhatsApp is finally rolling out its most-anticipated Reactions feature like Instagram.
WhatsApp also added one more useful feature that allows users can send files up to 2GB at a time, previously it was just 100MB. Along with the reactions, and file sharing size limit, this chat application is also rolling out the ability to add up to 512 people to a group.
This announcement was made by Meta’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg on his Facebook post. With that, both iOS and Android users will be able to react to a message in individual and group chat the same as they can on Instagram. Here are those 6 different emojis ?❤️???? (thumbs up, red heart, laughing face, surprised face, teary face, and hands together as thanks/prayer)

While WhatsApp tweeted, “In 2011 we introduced Group Chats, and we haven’t stopped improving since. In the coming weeks, we’ll roll out the ability to share files up to 2GB and add more people to your groups so you can continue creating and nurturing meaningful, private connections”.
How To Use Reactions Features on WhatsApp Chat
- Long press on a message.
- Tap to select one of the displayed emojis.
All WhatsApp users will get this react to message feature if they use an updated version of WhatsApp.
WhatsApp also notes a few things about this new feature:
- Users can add only one reaction per message.
- Not possible to hide reactions or reaction counts.
- If you enabled the disappearing messages option, the reactions also will disappear when the message disappears.
- Recipients might see your reaction before you remove it or if removing it wasn’t successful. You won’t be notified if removing a reaction wasn’t successful.
Apart from this feature last month they have been rolled out features such as users can add up to 32 people on audio calls, and the group admin has the right to delete messages and much more.
